Rexolite ® 1422 plastic shell pepper ball is a unique cross-linked polystyrene microwave pepper ball with excellent dielectric properties, high voltage insulation, rigidity and dimensional stability, radiation resistance, suitable for microwave lens, microwave circuit, antenna, coaxial cable connector, sound sensor, television satellite antenna and sonar lens.
Rexolite ® It is a unique cross-linked polystyrene microwave plastic pepper ball. The most remarkable characteristics of this material
It is the only cross-linked polystyrene and microwave plastic with its stable electrical characteristics in the frequency range of gigahertz. It is also optically transparent. It has a slight yellow casting (roughly the same as acrylic acid) when polishing, and has stable size and excellent sound transmission.
A New Era of High-frequency Materials -- Introduction to Rexolite 1422 Plastic Pepper Ball Materials
It is a thermosetting crosslinked styrene copolymer. The combination of good physical and excellent electrical properties (including low loss and stable dielectric constant) makes it suitable for microwave lenses and precision components.
♦ Excellent dielectric properties
The dielectric constant is 2.53 (to 500GHz), with extremely low dissipation factor.
Suitable for microwave lens, microwave circuit, antenna, coaxial cable connector, sound sensor, TV satellite antenna and sonar lens.
Other uses include non-destructive material testing equipment, surveillance equipment, radar windows, radomes and missile system shells. An interesting application is the radar lens, which is used to draw the surface of the earth from a fast flying aircraft.
♦ HV insulator
Capable of withstanding high voltage is very important for capacitors and other components when starting production gap. Facts prove. Rexolite plastic ball is superior to acrylic acid, epoxy resin, polyurethane and other plastics, and has resinous resistance (failure caused by electronic bombardment).
♦ Radiation resistance
Under the wide range exposure of up to 1000M rads, the dielectric loss is almost unchanged, and it has excellent resistance to mechanical deterioration of ionizing radiation.
♦ Rigidity and dimensional stability
At a temperature of 20 to 200, Rexolite plastic pepper balls will not exhibit permanent deformation or plastic action under a load of 10 psi to 2000 psi. In addition, all castings are stress-free, and no stress relief is required before, during or after processing.
