The plastic hollow pepper balls used in fuel sensors need to be resistant to diesel oil or gasoline, and have good temperature resistance. The low temperature needs to be 40 degrees below zero, and the high temperature needs to be 110 degrees. Therefore, the materials used in plastic hollow pepper balls should not only meet the standards in density, but also meet the requirements in temperature resistance and oil resistance.
There are two kinds of plastic hollow pepper balls used in fuel sensor, one is made by plastic foaming process, and the other is laser welded plastic hollow pepper ball, but both the foamed plastic pepper ball and the hollow plastic pepper ball are made of nylon material, because nylon plastic pepper ball is excellent in temperature resistance and its oil resistance is better than that of other materials. The performance of PA plastic hollow pepper ball is better than PA plastic foamed pepper ball, because the density of foamed plastic pepper ball is unstable, the yield is low, and the price is high. Now there are few fuel sensors that use foamed plastic pepper ball technology, while PA plastic hollow pepper ball has stable quality and high precision, and is being used by more and more fuel sensor manufacturers.
